Opportunity:
After analyzing the success of our blog posts on SEO, we decided to launch a social SEO campaign on Youtube. The goal was to drive traffic to our blogs and website in order to rank higher in search.
Action:
We created a content production schedule in order to streamline content creation and post 1 video a week; we also promoted them on our social pages. The process of production, from ideation, to publishing and distribution was accomplished by:
- Performing keyword research with Moz, Google Trends, and Uber Suggests (as well as our own customer data) to identify high volume, low ranking difficulty keywords related to automotive services.
- Reviewing keywords with our shop owner to identify the most relevant topics and services to this auto repair shop specifically.
- Using these keywords and seo tools to build a list of 12 automotive questions to answer in a 3-5 minute video segment with our shop owner.
- Batch filming videos at the beginning of each quarter and publishing them with titles and thumbnails optimized for search.
- Transcribing each video and turning the script into an informative blog post.
- We then used OpusClip to cut the video down for short form vertical content and published these clips on social media to further increase our reach and engage with our audience.
Result:
As a result of this campaign, we received over 15k views with a 3.3 Click-Through Rate. Additionally, our videos prompted 16 website sessions in 60 days. This data was an indication that our videos met the needs of users looking for automotive information. Overall, these videos proved to be valuable top of funnel content in our larger goal to keep our website ranking high in search.
